Well Contamination of Ground Water
Plaintiff’s
in a Texas
case alleged ground water contamination from oil and gas wells by an
independent oil producer. As an
expert witness, depositions and trial testimony were given as a part of a 200 million
dollar award. Decision was reversed
in the Texas Supreme Court on a technicality.
Isotopic
Geochemistry as a Forensic Tool in Water Rights Disputes
Expert testimony was provided
in regards to the
validity of using isotopic interpretations to support a water rights dispute
regarding a request to increase pumping in the desert near Las Vegas. Hearings were held before the
State Engineer in Nevada.
Geochemical
Evidence of Aquifer Connection
Data
review, hearing preparation and pretrial reports were given as an expert witness
for the U.S. National Park Service with respect to ground water rights near a
national park
in Oklahoma.

Water Contamination by a Copper Company
As
an expert witness, support was provided for data review, and trial preparation
with respect to litigation by a copper company in Arizona
seeking a several hundred million dollar insurance claim for reclamation of acid
mine water contamination.

Document
review and expert witness reports were prepared for multi-million dollar settlement
discussions between a major oil company and plaintiffs in ground water
contamination case in Mississippi

Oil
and Gas Ground Water Contamination Issues
As
an expert witness, depositions and trial preparation have been supplied for
litigation with respect of ground water contamination by oil companies in Texas
and Oklahoma. In some cases the litigation by
plaintiffs is shown to be unfounded, in others the producers consent to
settlement.
